The Challenge?

The Everest Challenge is a unique 3 day charity snow-sports event designed to give you a skiing and boarding experience you will never forget! If you fancy the challenge of skiing or snowboarding a total of 150km over 3 days, including a night ski session and a night mountain hike - then the Everest Challenge is for you!

Last year 34 participants in the Challenge raised over £30,000 for Snow-Camp (see Press Release) and had an amazing experience – this year we have made the challenge bigger and better, and have made 60 places available for individuals and teams. Sign up today, places are going fast!

When?

We will arrive in Morzine on the afternoon of Thursday 27th January and begin the Challenge that same evening, tackling the first 20 km during the night ski session. The following two days we ski from dawn till dusk attempting to put a further 125km on the clock – with a night hike on the Friday night completing the final 5km of the challenge. We’ll return to London on Sunday 30th January 2011 having successfully completed the Challenge.

Where?

We’ll be based in Morzine and the event will span 15 resorts in the area in France. Check out the flyer to see the route.

We’ll be on the first lifts each morning and the last off the slopes each evening, aiming to finish the challenge no matter what the weather throws at us – wind, fog, ice, snow or even too much sun! Our ski guides will keep us on the right track – all we have to do is ski or board like never before and raise some serious money for Snow-Camp.

The challenge is open to all skiers and snowboarders from those that fit into the ‘solid intermediate’ category, to ‘advanced’ or ‘expert’.

Each participant pays a £185 non-refundable deposit on sign-up to the challenge and is then required to raise the minimum sponsorship of £1500, or £5000 for a team of 4 people.
