Snowball Snowcamp Rally 2009

Snow Camp

FAQ

Can a team be any size?

Sure, as long as you.ve got a big enough vehicle! We were working on 4 in a car as a minimum, but if you have a people carrier or bigger transport option, go for it! So long as each member signs up for the challenge with their own Just Giving site and commits to raise a minimum of £250. The more the merrier!

Can I raise more than £250 per person?

Of course, this is the minimum amount but Snow-Camp will be grateful for every extra pound you raise. It costs £500 to take each young person on Snow-Camp so if you get to that amount or beyond you also receive a bursary place on the website named after you!

Can you help with the Just Giving site?

Yes we can. Just follow the link...

Just Giving

...and it should all be straightforward, allowing you to prepare your sponsorship page and email it out to all your friends and relatives telling them what you are doing. No paper, no collection after the event, no having to be there in person, much simpler all round and you can easily track your fundraising progress! Of course you might want to call people as well to add the personal touch, and if you need any further guidance contact liv@snow-camp.co.uk who is our Just Giving guru!

Can my company match my sponsorship?

It's definitely worth asking. Many companies provide a scheme whereby they will match employee fundraising efforts, so this could massively increase your fundraising total.

Where do we stay at night?

Good question. We are trying to get some sponsorship from Holiday Inn or Travelodge so watch this space. But a better idea is to plan your route ensuring you come to a halt each evening right by those friends with the big house you haven.t seen for while! Tell them what you are doing and we are sure they will want to support you with a room and some sleeping bags!!

What are the prizes for the winners of the Snowball Rally and the best fundraisers?

There are going to be loads of prizes and giveaways for all teams taking part. We currently have two holidays, two brand new x-box consoles, snowboards, cups and trophies for the winning teams in both fundraising and slopes ridden, and a wealth of other goodies, ski and snowboard kit and fun stuff will be thrown in.

Can I claim for petrol costs?

To be honest this is up to you. We don.t want you to be out of pocket, so if you raise over the £250 each you can claim back from the extra balance your petrol costs after the event by sending your receipts into Snow-Camp.

What is this SNO!Raiser event we are all ending up at?

You need to arrive at the SNO!zone between 6-7pm on the Saturday to hand in your score sheet. The SNO!zone slope will be open for Rally competitors between 7-8pm to have a ski and board and to applaud down the slope all the teams who have entered the Snowball Rally. Your moment of glory!! Winners will come down last to receive all their prizes and cups and take their place on the podium.

I hear there is a Rally after party, right?

Yes, there will be a Snowball Rally after party hosted by our partners at SNO!zone held on the 21st November in their Avalanche Bar from 8-11pm. Loads of goodies, great fun and a chance to share your rally stories with other teams.

Any other rules I need to know about?

Well we want you all to arrive in one piece so no breaking the speed limit! And please respect the slopes you are visiting, they are voluntarily participating in the event and enabling you to ride for free. You wil need to show your Rally identification at each slope to ride for free. This will be given to you at the launch event on the 19th.

You must be at the Milton Keynes SNO!zone between 10-11am on 19th for the Snowball Rally grand opening and back to the same place by 7pm at the latest on 21st November to enter you.re your teams results into the overall league. Good luck!
